Happy Easter!

May the peace of the risen Christ be with you!

We have had heavy snowstorms this winter. The road conditions were bad and the piles of snow on the side of the road made it hard to access the church building. As a result, there were three Sundays when we were unable to gather. However after winter, we know that spring always comes with

new life. Even under the ground, the new shoots of tulips are ready to come up out of the earth. All these signs of life remind us of the hope of new life and help us to anticipate the joy of Easter.

With our thanks and praise to God for many things, we now enter the Holy Week – Palm and Passion Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday. In this Holy Season, I hope we will meet each other and share the Easter joys. And in our sharing we will know that we are not alone: God is with us always. We, the family of Dentonia Park United, will begin our celebration of Holy Week and as usual we continue the tradition of “walking with Christ hand in hand” with our friends at Hope United Church and Faith Presbyterian Community Church.

Palm Sunday Service:    10:30 am, March 16, Dentonia Park United Church.

Passion Sunday Service: 7:00 pm, March 16 at Hope United Church.

Maundy Thursday Service:   7:00 pm, March 20 at Dentonia Park United Church.

Good Friday Service:      10:30 am, March 21 at Faith Presbyterian Community Church.

Easter Morning Sunrise Service:  8:30-9:10 am, March 23 at the Dentonia Park.

Easter Breakfast:          9:15 am, March 23 at Faith Presbyterian Community Church.

Easter Sunday Service:    10:30 am, March 23 at Dentonia Park United Church, with

         Celebration of the Holy Communion.

We welcome you to join us with friends and family members in our special services and events. May this season offer you God’s gifts of new life, full of hope, peace, joy and love.

May God’s bountiful blessings be yours in this season of Easter!

Peace,
